New biz ideas to confluence at ‘Bahrain India Week 2016’
Manama : With a view to burgeoning trade activities between Bahrain and India, major companies from both the countries will take part in the ‘Bahrain India Week 2016’, to be held from December 1 to 2 at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The two-day event will include a trade fair, B2B sessions, cultural performances and other activities, informed the organisers at a press conference on the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) premises in Sanabis yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha exuded confidence that the event will be a catalyst for further ties between India and Bahrain. “A lot of developments are taking place in Bahrain in terms of diversifying its economy and liberalisation of investment opportunities. Also in India, the ‘Make in India’ initiative has once again brought technology and innovation at the centre of our growth dimension,” he said.
“India is set for a double digit growth for the next decade or so. The opportunities that are emerging in our countries have created synergies and this event will address those synergies and help build a deeper economic and investment ties,” Sinha added.
Commenting on the close ties between the two nations, BCCI Chairman Khalid Almoayed said, “We are very grateful to the Indians here for the major role they had played in the progress of Bahrain. Need strong cultural ties, says Indian MP
According to Indian MP Manoj Tiwari, the entertainment industry can be a link between the two countries to create strong economic and cultural ties.
Speaking to DT News, Tiwari, who is also an actor and singer, informed that he will be shooting a music video in Bahrain as part of an Indian movie within the next two months.
Meanwhile, taking a cue from the land reclamation process in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Indian MP said he was toying with the idea of implementing it in some of the areas of a river in the Indian capital New Delhi.
