A chance to meet your beloved stars
Manama : International celebrities will be in Bahrain this weekend to participate in IGN Anime and Gaming Convention, a major pop culture event at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) this Friday.
Fans in Bahrain will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Giancarlo Esposito, actor known for his role “Gustavo” in the American series “Breaking Bad,” the professional wrestler and US Olympic champion “Kurt Angle”, as well as worldwide renowned cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao.
The event, organised by Tarteeb and IGN, will feature exhibitions for games, movies and comic books. A cosplay (dressing up as a character from a film, book, or video game) competition will also be held.
“The fans who have the VIP tickets will be able to meet the celebrities at the VIP lounge. Others will also have the chance to interact and discuss with them. A time slot has been allotted for a session where the stars will talk about their careers and experiences and answer a range of questions. There will also be opportunities for the fans to take autographs of the celebrities,” an IGN spokesperson told DT News.
“Video games tournaments in FIFA, Call of Duty, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Overwatch, Counter Strike, League of Legends are also featured. The winners in the tournaments will receive valuable gifts,” the spokesperson said.
The exhibition’s tickets are sold in various shops, including Euphoria in Seef Mall, VIVA’s Bahrain City Centre Branch, Ozone in Sitra Mall, Planet Jim in Riffa, and many other places. An e-ticket service is available on the official website of Tarteeb. A one-day ticket costs BD8, while a two-day ticket is BD12. VIP tickets are sold for BD50.
