Drug peddling case trial on October 19
Manama : Prosecution witnesses in the trial of a man, who tried to frame his aunt in a drug peddling case, will testify on October 19.
The defendant was nabbed after the Anti-Narcotic Department received a tip-off, accusing him of promoting and taking illegal drugs.
While executing the arrest warrant, the police encountered the defendant while he was driving a car.
The police inspected the vehicle and recovered the drugs hidden in a bag. But the man told prosecutors that the car belonged to his aunt and that he was not aware of the bag.
However, his claims were discredited and was put on trial. He admitted to consuming drugs, but denied the accusation of selling.
