Gas cylinders blown near school
Manama : Saboteurs blew up two cooking gas cylinders in Bilad Al Qadeem village in the Capital Governorate on Friday, without causing any deaths or injuries.
The cylinders were detonated near Bilad Al Qadeem Elementary Girls’ School, Education Ministry confirmed in a press statement.
The ministry’s Public Relations and Media Department explained that fragments of the explosion and pieces of burning tyres damaged the school wall.
“The school security guards extinguished the fire that was caused by the terrorist explosions,” the ministry stated.
The ministry condemned the act targeting the school few days before the beginning of the new academic year.
