His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, issued a circular announcing the official holiday in observance of Ashura.

According to the circular, all ministries, government entities, and public institutions will close on Thursday and Friday, June 25 and 26. Since Friday coincides with an official holiday, the day off will be compensated on Sunday, June 28.
