Bahrain Warns Against Fake Faces Online
Bahrain’s General Directorate for Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security has issued a warning against using AI-generated personal images and videos on social media platforms.
The authority stressed that positive and meaningful digital publishing should rely on authentic photographs and real video footage, without any alterations or distortions that change the content's truth, context, or nature.
It urged all users to exercise caution and responsibility when sharing or distributing content online, highlighting the importance of using modern technologies consciously and ethically to preserve credibility and protect digital media integrity.
The directorate further confirmed that it will take legal action against anyone violating these guidelines.
