Bahrain Chamber’s 31st Board of Directors voting conducted in disciplined, transparent and secure environment

The election committee for the 31st Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber chaired by Mr. Abbas Radhi, announced the official results of the chamber’s elections, with the following candidates winning seats: • Nabeel Khalid Kanoo – 58,590 votes

• Mohammed Adel Fakhro – 56,958 votes

• Hassan Bader Kaiksow – 54,916 votes

• Yousif Salahuddin Ibrahim – 53,008 votes

• Khalid Abdulrahman Juma – 50,856 votes

• Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom – 49,658 votes

• Abeer Tariq Al Moayed – 49,440 votes • Nawaf Khalid Al Zayani – 48,342 votes

• Khalid Ali Abdulrahman – 46,646 votes • Mohammed Nader Diwani – 46,186 votes

• Jameel Al Ghanah – 45,080 votes • Waheeb Ahmed Al Khaja – 44,078 votes

• Mohamed Abduljabbar Al Kooheji – 42,910 votes • Rashad Ibrahim Zainal – 40,218 votes

• Abdulwahab Yousif Al Hawaj – 39,314 votes

• Sawsan Abulhassan Ibrahim – 35,554 votes

• Sonia Mohamed Janahi – 34,288 votes

• Bhagwan das Chellaram Tikamdas Thacker – 32,538 votes

Reserve members:

• Shaker Mirza Al Helli – 29,204 votes

Counting

The counting results showed that 2,608 ballot papers were retrieved from the ballot boxes, of which 9 were invalidated for non-compliance with the regulations, bringing the total number of valid votes to 307,176.

Voter turnout reached 26.61% of the 37,983 eligible members, while overall membership participation stood at 6.9%.

The total number of participants in the electoral process was 1,027.

The results also indicated that 2,613 members were in attendance, with 2,599 valid ballots cast, compared to 9 invalid ballots.

The elections were held on Saturday, 28 March 2026, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, in a well-organized setting marked by professionalism and transparency, with clear procedures and strict oversight to ensure integrity, neutrality, and full legal compliance.

Participation

The process saw strong participation from Chamber members, supported by efficient organization that ensured smooth voting.

The committee and supporting teams worked continuously until late at night to finalize and announce the results, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and commitment to delivering them on time.

Abbas Radhi, Chairman of the Elections Committee, stated that the voting process took place in a disciplined, transparent, and secure environment, enabling the business community to exercise its electoral rights freely and responsibly.

He added that holding the 31st cycle of elections amid regional challenges reinforces the Kingdom of Bahrain’s standing and highlights the strength and efficiency of its national institutions.

Commitment

It also reflects the Kingdom’s firm commitment to its constitutional framework and sends a clear message about the stability of its institutional system.

He expressed his appreciation to all entities and institutions that contributed to the success of the elections, including the Chamber’s executive team and university student volunteers, who played an effective and impartial role throughout all stages of the process—from the opening of ballot boxes to vote counting and the announcement of results.

He affirmed that the committee fully adhered to the Chamber’s law and its executive regulations, implementing strict organizational and supervisory measures to ensure the integrity and credibility of the process.

Process

In conclusion, Mr. Radhi, on behalf of the committee, thanked all participants in the elections, especially the representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and civil society organizations, including the Bahrain Transparency Society and the Bahrain Lawyers Society, as well as the supporting teams who facilitated the voting process with professionalism and dedication.

He also expressed his appreciation to all candidates, voters, and members for their role in the elections, wishing the elected members success in their upcoming responsibilities and better luck to those who were not successful in this cycle in future elections.
