Bahrain Boosts Renewable Energy Ties with Masdar
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, met today with Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to adopt innovative renewable energy solutions, underlining the Kingdom’s commitment to achieving sustainable development goals in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH Prince Salman emphasized the strong historic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reflecting the continued support of His Majesty the King and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. He also praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in promoting bilateral cooperation.
The Crown Prince underscored the importance of enhancing clean energy partnerships in Bahrain to advance the Kingdom’s sustainable development agenda. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to renewable energy projects as part of its broader energy diversification strategy, stressing that these initiatives are crucial for positioning the Kingdom as an active contributor to international climate action.
During the discussions, both sides reviewed areas of potential cooperation and explored ways to further strengthen collaboration in the renewable energy sector.
For his part, Masdar CEO Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi expressed his appreciation for HRH Prince Salman’s support of renewable energy projects, highlighting their role in promoting environmental security and tackling climate change challenges.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs; His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; along with several senior officials.
