Bahrain Agriculture, Housing, Education Ministries Receive Top Honours for Excellence in Governance

Manama: Bahrain's Ministries of Agriculture, Housing and Education have been recognised for their outstanding initiatives at the Arab Government Excellence Award 2025, showcasing the country's dedication to innovation and excellence.

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has been honoured for its integrated digital housing services system, streamlining procedures and enhancing coordination with government and private entities. This initiative is part of the ministry's digital transformation strategy, aiming to improve service quality, enhance data accuracy and reduce paperwork.

The Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture received an award for its community initiative providing agricultural training to participants from various segments of society. This initiative supports national efforts to strengthen the agricultural sector and promote sustainable practices, training over 2,000 participants in areas like greenhouse cultivation and organic farming.

The Ministry of Education was recognised for its programme providing structured training and qualification for newly appointed teachers in government schools. This award reflects the ministry's ongoing development efforts and commitment to enhancing educational services.

The awards were presented during a ceremony held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with senior officials from the United Arab Emirates, the Arab League and participating Arab countries in attendance. The awards demonstrate Bahrain's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in governance, highlighting the country's progress in various sectors.
