UoB holds graduation ceremony

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the University of Bahrain (UoB) held the graduation ceremony for its 27th batch, honoring 5,783 students.
The event was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees, alongside ministers, senior officials, academics, and parents.
During the ceremony, Dr. Juma expressed pride in Bahrain’s educational achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He also highlighted HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s patronage as a significant support for UoB and its graduates.
The Minister congratulated the graduates and their families, commending the university’s administration, Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff for their dedication.
He highlighted the University’s role in fostering graduates equipped with contemporary knowledge and leadership skills, noting the special significance of this ceremony following UoB’s historic inclusion in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for the first time since its establishment in 1986.
Dr. Fouad Mohamme Al Ansari, President of UoB, addressed the audience, emphasising that the university’s alumni contribute significantly to all state institutions, advancing national development and representing Bahrain with distinction at regional and international levels.
Graduate Amina Mohammed Al Janahi of the College of Law delivered the graduates’ speech, reflecting on their academic journey and expressing enthusiasm for the next chapter in their professional and personal lives.
During the ceremony, Dr. Juma honoured 23 students for academic excellence, 168 outstanding students across various colleges, and 96 graduates from the College of Health and Sports Sciences.
