Speaker points out Arab unity in fighting terrorism

Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla stressed the need for the unified Arab discourse and promoting development projects that support the economic development, which is witnessing political and economic fluctuations amid the fall of oil prices and counterterrorism operations in the region.

This came as Speaker today received a Jordanian parliamentary delegation from the Labour, Social Development and Housing Committee led by committee chairman Abdullah Obeidat.

Speaker highlighted Jordan's key role in advocating Bahraini, Arab and Palestinian issues. He stressed Bahrain's support for Jordanian residents in Bahrain, noting their contributions to the march of construction and development taking place in the homeland at all levels.

He lauded the Jordanian parliament's efforts in bolstering bilateral parliamentary relations and cooperation.

Regional developments taking place in the aftermath of the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the region's countries were reviewed.

He stressed the importance of Bahrain's decision compatible with the Saudi step on severing diplomatic relations with Iran, which has been supporting and exporting terrorism to the GCC countries.
