HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Meets Vatican Secretary of State

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, met today with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, during his official visit to the Vatican City State and the Italian Republic.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness emphasized Bahrain’s firm commitment to the values of tolerance, coexistence, and intercultural dialogue—principles upheld by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Prince Salman stressed the importance of strengthening relations between Bahrain and the Vatican, noting that closer cooperation would help advance shared aspirations, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute to global stability.

He also highlighted Bahrain’s cultural heritage and its efforts to build bridges of communication and cooperation across various sectors, which have supported growth and development both locally and internationally.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, along with senior officials.
