Bahraini Deputy Public Prosecutor Participates in GCC Prosecutors’ Assistants Meeting in Kuwait

First Attorney General Counselor Wael Rashid Boualai, Assistant to the Public Prosecutor, participated today in the meeting of assistants to Public Prosecutors and Prosecutors General from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in Kuwait. The meeting was attended by First Attorney General Counselor Haroun Al-Zayani, Head of the Technical Office of the Public Prosecutor.

The discussions focused on several key topics in preparation for recommendations to be presented at the 17th meeting of Public Prosecutors and Prosecutors General, scheduled for October. Among the main topics were the draft policy to enhance cooperation between Public Prosecutors’ offices across the GCC, a unified code of conduct for members of the prosecutorial bodies, and a guiding manual for handling elderly individuals during investigations.

The meeting also reviewed rules for joint cooperation, highlighted distinguished experiences among the GCC prosecutors’ offices, examined regulations for the recruitment of members across the GCC, and discussed training proposals, including utilizing legal and judicial institutes in the region. Additionally, the Public Prosecutor’s office of the Kingdom of Bahrain proposed introducing a guiding law on the use of artificial intelligence in prosecutorial work.
