Avenue 38 opens in Qalali

Avenue 38 has opened in Qalali, tying into Rayya Highway.
Engineer Saleh Buhazza, Vice-Chairman of the Muharraq Municipal Council and Fifth Constituency representative, said the Qalali side upgrade of Rayya Highway is complete and will ease traffic and serve residents better.
Buhazza said the next step is to provide car parks for worshippers at Al Khair Mosque and the adjacent cemetery and to mark pedestrian crossings to keep people safe.
He called for phases two and three of the Rayya Highway works on the Al Dair and Samaheej side to be completed to strengthen the road network and meet the scheme’s aims.
Buhazza also urged the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs to consider redrawing Qalali’s boundary to include Qalali Cemetery and Al Khaleej Complex.
