Bahrain and UAE Leaders Condemn Israeli Attack on Qatar Soil

  • Leaders Express Solidarity with Qatar’s Sovereignty

  • King Hamad and Shaikh Mohamed Reaffirm Support for Palestine

  • Two-State Solution Key to Regional Stability, Leaders Say

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, held talks in Bahrain today, during which they strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on the State of Qatar.

Both leaders described the assault as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law, and affirmed their full solidarity with Qatar in safeguarding its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents. They also urged de-escalation to preserve peace and security across the region.

The talks also focused on developments in the Middle East, particularly the Palestinian issue. King Hamad and Shaikh Mohamed reiterated their firm support for the rights of the Palestinian people and stressed the importance of advancing a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution — which they emphasized as the only viable path to achieving stability for all nations and peoples in the region.

The meeting took place at Al Sakhir Palace following the official reception of Shaikh Mohamed, who arrived in Bahrain earlier in the day for an official visit. He was received at the airport by His Majesty King Hamad along with senior members of the royal family and officials.

Discussions also highlighted the long-standing brotherly ties between Bahrain and the UAE and explored opportunities to enhance cooperation and coordination across various fields in the service of mutual interests.

In honor of the visit, His Majesty the King hosted a luncheon for the UAE President and his accompanying delegation, where both leaders exchanged warm fraternal talks reflecting the depth of bilateral relations.

Later, King Hamad bid farewell to Shaikh Mohamed bin Zayed as he departed the Kingdom after his visit, with members of the royal family and senior officials also present at the farewell.
