Listening to the Community: Southern Governor Meets Residents

In line with efforts to strengthen continuous communication between the Southern Governorate and local residents, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, welcomed a number of community leaders, dignitaries, and representatives of civil society institutions in the governorate. The meeting was attended by Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Southern Municipal Council, Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Deputy Governor, and several officers and officials.

At the start of the meeting, His Highness the Governor extended a warm welcome to the attendees, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing communication with citizens and addressing their needs across various fields. This approach aligns with the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, through the provision of essential services aimed at meeting the aspirations of the community.

His Highness highlighted that the Southern Governorate continues to strengthen its engagement with residents through field visits, as well as via various electronic channels and smart platforms provided by the governorate. These efforts aim to deliver improved services and meet the aspirations of citizens.

The Governor also affirmed that the governorate is actively following up on various development and service plans that benefit citizens, striving to enhance both the quality and level of services. This reflects the sustainable and developmental progress witnessed across all areas of the Southern Governorate. His Highness confirmed the continuation of field visits and inspection tours to closely understand the needs of residents, in coordination with relevant authorities.

During the meeting, His Highness listened to the needs and suggestions of the residents concerning security, social, and service-related matters. He stressed the importance of continuous monitoring and swift response through electronic channels that connect the Southern Governorate with government agencies, ensuring that constructive proposals contribute to the region’s development.

At the conclusion of the weekly council, residents expressed their gratitude for the Governor’s ongoing communication and dedication to addressing the needs and requirements of citizens across all areas of the governorate.
