Bahrain embraces sustainable AI innovation

Dr. Jassim Haji, President of the International Group of Artificial Intelligence (ICOAI), Head of the Tech National Group, delivered an inspiring and informative speech during a recent AI-focused event held at the Art Hotel.

The event welcomed many distinguished guests, including Nibras Mohammed Talib, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), who was the guest of honor.

He emphasized the growing importance of artificial intelligence and praised the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, whose support has been pivotal in Bahrain’s technological development.

Dr. Haji spoke proudly about Bahrain’s first locally established AI center, launched four years ago, which has developed over 38 proprietary AI solutions entirely in-house.

This achievement highlights Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable innovation and maximizing productivity with efficient investment.

He took the audience on a fascinating journey through history, linking Bahrain’s ancient contributions to early automation practices dating back 5,000 years.

He noted that early forms of automation such as stamping and document exchange laid the groundwork for today’s advanced technologies.
