Court orders auction of friends’ disputed property

A property worth BD280,000 is to be sold at auction after a decade-long joint venture between three friends came undone over unpaid dues.
Two of the partners took the matter to court when the third refused to cover his share of the final bill. The trio had poured their savings into building the home, expecting to sell it later and split the money.
Seven years of effort nearly came to nothing when one of them stepped back at the last hurdle. The property was registered in all three names.
