Top honour for BAC Vice President
Manama : Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Vice President, Najwa Abdulrahim was honoured with the ‘Women in Technology’ recognition award at the 8th MEET ICT Conference, held in Bahrain.
Tamkeen Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi presented her the award in the presence of Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Kamal Ahmed, who patronised the event.
The award honours Najwa’s commitment to social and developmental initiatives and many other distinct accomplishments. Among these was a period in which she served as Assistant Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women; a ranking as 66th in Forbes’ 100 most Powerful women in the Arab World; and many educational achievements spanning more than two decades.
The annual conference brings together key industry players as part of a regional strategy towards sustainable ICT development. It included more than 30 speakers from international and regional organisations, who discussed topics such as Digital Transformation, Cloud Computing, IT Security, and others.
