Bomb hoax: Jail terms confirmed
Manama : Five persons implicated in a bomb hoax case have had their prison sentences upheld by the Court.
Earlier, two of them received five years behind bars each, while the rest were given three years in prison each.
According to court files, the defendants had initially rioted in Daih village, and they rounded off their vandalism acts by planting a fake bomb before they fled the scene.
Police officers called explosive experts when they saw the device, but they declared it later as a fake explosive.
Detectives established the involvement of the defendants in the incident after human cells lifted from the scene found to be matching to that of the defendants.
