BIAS2016 security, traffic plan discussed

In line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS), Transportation and Telecommunications Minister and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, chaired a meeting of the Security Committee,

The meeting was attended by Major-General Tariq Al Hassan, Head of Public Security; Lt-Colonel Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Directorate of Traffic as well as representatives from Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Southern Governorate and Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).

They reviewed traffic security arrangements for the Bahrain International Airshow 2016, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on January 21-23.

They also reviewed the traffic plans set down by the General Directorate of Traffic, with the main objective of ensuring the success of the event with smooth, uninterrupted traffic flow along roads leading to Bahrain International Airshow, Bahrain International Circuit and other commercial areas.

At the end of the meeting, the minister thanked all members of the Security Committee for their efforts in ensuring the event’s success.
