At least five people were injured after a military projectile launched by Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi militants landed in a border village of Saudi Arabia on Monday.

Saudi’s official news agency SPA reported that the projectile from Yemen towards one of the border villages in Jazan region fell on a public street, injuring five civilians, including three Saudi citizens and two Yemenis. It also damaged two houses, a grocery store and three civilian vehicles, said Colonel Mohammed bin Yahiya Al-Ghamdi, spokesman for the Civil Defence Directorate in Jazan Region.

On Saturday, Saudi Arabia intercepted a missile attack over its capital and bomb-laden drones targeting a southern province.
