Amazon puts up IS propaganda magazine for sale, later withdraws
London
Amazon landed in trouble after it put the English-language propaganda magazine of the dreaded outfit Islamic State briefly for sale on its website, BBC reported.
According to BBC, four different copies of ISIS’ magazine ‘Dabiq’ were available in paperback form on Amazon’s site in the UK, US, France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Interestingly, Islamic State is a proscribed organization in the UK, US and India.
Amazon’s websites list the publisher of the magazines as “CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, which is an Amazon-owned self-publishing company.
In a damage control exercise, Amazone later pulled out the list from the website. “This proeduct is no longer available for sale,” it said in a one line statement, according to BBC.
