Manhunt Underway After Fatal Shooting at Aarau Rave

Aarau: A 22 years old Italian woman Alessia Rinaldi was killed and five others injured in a shooting at a techno rave in the Swiss town of Aarau early Sunday, sparking a massive manhunt for the attacker or attackers.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at the Schachen horse racecourse, where the annual rave had attracted approximately 3,500 people. Alessia Rinaldi. died on the spot. Five others, four men and a woman in their twenties, were brought to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to severe.

Police have not yet identified any suspects, and it is unknown whether there were one or more attackers. Major areas of Aarau were blocked off as heavily armed police searched the region, and officials increased their presence outside the town as a precaution. According to reports, German police have joined the search.

The motivation is unclear. Authorities are looking into a number of possibilities, including a criminal crime, a mass shooting, and a terrorist assault, although none of them have been confirmed.
