SYDNEY: Former Australia cricket star David Warner has pleaded guilty to a mid-range drink-driving charge and will be sentenced by a Sydney court on August 18. His lawyer entered the plea on his behalf, while Warner did not attend the hearing.

Police alleged Warner was driving a van when he stopped before a random breath-testing site. He was later breath-tested, arrested and taken to a police station.

Warner's lawyer told the court that everyone is capable of making poor decisions and stressed the importance of accepting responsibility for mistakes.
