Saudi launches Package Visa to make tourist travel easier

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia launched a Package Visa pilot program to make travel to the Kingdom more convenient by combining the visa application procedure with travel arrangements. Eligible international travellers can apply for a tourist visa through approved travel providers while booking flights, hotels, transportation, and other travel services in one seamless digital transaction. The project aims to reduce paperwork, expedite approvals, and deliver a smooth overall travel experience.

The Package Visa is originally available in selected international markets through licensed travel and tourist companies. Travellers will also be able to include experiences like cultural attractions, entertainment events, and guided tours in their travel packages, allowing them to arrange their complete vacation from a single platform.

The novel approach supports Saudi Arabia's existing e-Visa, visa-on-arrival, and Stopover Transit Visa programs. It is part of the Kingdom's overall tourism policy, Vision 2030, which aims to improve visitor services, attract millions of international tourists, and establish Saudi Arabia as a major global travel destination.
