Perfectionist Djokovic unhappy despite Wimbledon win

London: Despite qualifying for the next round of Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic said he was dissatisfied, claiming that his perfectionist temperament made it tough to celebrate what he called a ‘ugly’ victory.
The 7-time Wimbledon champion recognised that not every match is perfect, but he wants more from himself and believes he must improve as the tournament proceeds. Djokovic overcame a strong opponent, relying on his experience and resilience to earn the victory while feeling his performance fell short of his typical level.
The Serbian legend stated that finding a way to win on difficult days is one of the attributes that make champions, but added that he will be focusing on improving before his next match as he pursues another Wimbledon crown and a record-extending Grand Slam victory.
