OIC condemns Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon
The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned Israeli military actions in southern Lebanon, accusing Israeli occupation forces of carrying out incursions, attacks on villages, and the destruction of archaeological sites.
In a statement, the OIC General Secretariat said the operations amounted to a “flagrant violation” of Lebanon’s sovereignty, as well as international law and international humanitarian law.
The organisation also criticised what it described as continued Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory, warning that the escalation poses a serious threat to regional security and stability.
Reaffirming its position, the OIC expressed “unwavering support and solidarity” with Lebanon, emphasising its commitment to the country’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
The General Secretariat urged the international community to take immediate and decisive action to halt the violence and prevent further deterioration of the situation.
