Retired Journalist Shot Dead in Uganda’s Wakanda Area, Police Launch Murder Probe

Kampala: Police are investigating a murder by shooting in Kawanda Central, Nabweru Division, Wakiso District, where a 55-year-old retired journalist was killed in the early hours of Sunday.
The victim, identified as Joe Nam, was reportedly shot by a masked, unidentified armed assailant who fled the scene immediately after the attack.
Police said a team visited and documented the crime scene, and the body was taken to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem examination.Investigations are ongoing to establish the motive and track down the suspect.
Joe Nam previously worked with New Vision before retiring and later engaged in tourism, marketing, and writing. He authored several books, including ‘When Museveni Goes: Reflections, Questions, Fears, Hope.’
