Kuwait City: The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced that a test run of the national warning sirens will be carried out on Sunday at 12:00 pm local time, instead of the usual 10:00 am, to coincide with the country’s flag-hoisting ceremony.
In a press release, the ministry clarified that the change in timing applies only to this Sunday’s test, and that regular monthly siren tests will continue to take place at 10:00 am in the coming months.
The MoI reiterated that the warning siren tests are a routine procedure conducted at the beginning of every month to ensure the efficiency and operational readiness of the national siren system.
Citizens and residents were advised that the activation of the sirens is strictly for testing purposes and does not indicate any emergency situation.
