NFPA to Take Part in Intersec Dubai 2026 with Dedicated Safety Program

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has announced its participation in Intersec Dubai 2026, the world’s leading exhibition focused on security, safety, and fire protection.

The event will be held from January 12 to 14, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Center, under the patronage of Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Border Security Council. Intersec Dubai 2026 will bring together regional and global industry leaders to discuss safety challenges and opportunities linked to rapid infrastructure growth in the Gulf region.

As part of its participation, NFPA will host NFPA Day on Day 2 of the Fire & Rescue Conference. The program will feature panel discussions and expert sessions with senior government officials, private-sector leaders, and safety professionals. Key topics will include artificial intelligence, mega-project safety, and the energy transition, focusing on future fire and life safety practices.

NFPA President and CEO Jim Pauley said Intersec Dubai plays an important role in advancing fire and life safety by encouraging collaboration, sharing knowledge, and promoting modern safety solutions. He added that hosting NFPA Day supports the organization’s mission to build a safer future, especially as the Middle East continues to see major development projects.

NFPA Vice President for Global Business Development Mike Brunzell highlighted that NFPA Day will provide practical insights and internationally recognized standards to help reduce risks and protect lives across the region.

NFPA Day will open with remarks from Mike Brunzell, followed by a keynote address from Jim Pauley, who will also announce updates related to NFPA LiNK, the association’s digital platform that provides access to more than 300 codes and standards. The program will also include a fireside discussion on NFPA’s global role, sessions on energy transition, AI in fire protection, high-hazard safety, and safety planning for large-scale mega projects, with contributions from regional and international experts.

Intersec Dubai 2026 is expected to serve as a key platform for strengthening fire and life safety standards and supporting safer infrastructure development across the Middle East.
