Security and political experts in the United Arab Emirates have strongly condemned Israel’s recent strike in Qatar, calling it a violation of Gulf sovereignty and a significant setback for the Abraham Accords.
Dr. Kristian Alexander of Rabdan Security & Defence Institute described the attack as “a profound diplomatic and symbolic challenge” with the potential to freeze relations and stall new initiatives. Emirati analyst Mohammed Al Sawafi called the strike “politically unacceptable” and urged Arab states to unite against further escalation. Columnist Eisa AlZarooni warned it represented “an unprecedented crossing of red lines,” emphasizing that targeting a mediator undermines prospects for regional peace.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that the Abraham Accords are founded on principles of peace, coexistence, and support for Palestinian aspirations. The ministry warned that annexation or unilateral actions would severely undermine the agreements.
