Emirates Announces Key Commercial Leadership Appointments

Emirates Airline has announced several new appointments to its commercial leadership team as it expands its network, fleet, and product offerings in the next phase of growth.
The airline has created new roles, including Senior Vice President of Network Passenger Sales Development and Vice President for Passenger Sales – Regional Clusters, to strengthen regional growth, drive performance across markets, and build long-term passenger revenue.
As part of the new structure, two Emirati leaders have been appointed to head major market clusters, reflecting Emirates’ commitment to nurturing UAE National talent and developing future industry leaders.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, said:

New Commercial Appointments:
Matthew Scott has been appointed Senior Vice President of Network Passenger Sales Development, overseeing Global Sales & Leisure teams. Matthew has over 20 years of experience in international airlines, previously serving in key roles including Head of Corporate and Leisure Sales and Head of Commercial Strategy. He joined Emirates SkyCargo in 2018.
Abdulla Al Olama is promoted to Vice President, Regional Clusters – Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Abdulla has been with Emirates since 2012, previously managing commercial operations across the Far East, West Asia, and Indian Ocean.
Rashid Alardha becomes Vice President, Regional Clusters – Sub-Saharan Africa. Rashid joined Emirates in 2009 and has managed operations across eight countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Flavio Ghiringhelli has been promoted to Vice President, Regional Clusters – South and Central Europe. Flavio joined Emirates in 2018 as Country Manager Italy and brings extensive experience in corporate sales, commercial strategy, and business development.
Pierfrancesco Carino will join Emirates as Vice President, Regional Clusters – West and North Europe later this month. Pierfrancesco brings 20 years of experience in sales, marketing, revenue management, and strategic partnerships, and has previously worked for Emirates in France.
The new commercial teams and structure are being led by Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales and Country Management at Emirates.
