Young people in Northern Sehla now have a brand-new space to learn, grow, and connect, thanks to the opening of the Northern Sehla Youth Empowerment Center.

The center was officially opened by Youth Affairs Minister Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, who toured the facility alongside local residents, community leaders, and youth representatives.

This new center isn’t just a building—it’s a place designed to support and inspire the next generation. With training rooms, computer labs, a sports field, and areas for workshops and events, it’s equipped to help young people develop their talents and ideas.

Minister Tawfiqi said the opening is part of Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to its youth, guided by the vision of the country’s leadership. “Supporting young people is one of our top priorities,” she said, noting that national leaders see youth as the key to the country’s future.

The center aims to become a hub for creativity, learning, and community engagement. Hassan Awaaji, head of the center’s board, called it a “second home” for young people, where they can gain skills, discover their passions, and make a real impact.

“We believe in our youth,” he said. “This center is a sign of that belief—an investment in their energy, ideas, and potential.”

The launch marks a new chapter for youth in the area, with hopes that the center will help unlock opportunities and empower more young Bahrainis to lead, create, and contribute.
