BIS Students Excel in National-Level Mathematics Competition

Bhavans–Bahrain Indian School (BIS) proudly announces the exceptional achievement of its students in the Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge, a prestigious annual international-level Mathematics competition conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for students of Classes VIII to X. The competition is designed to enhance logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students.
CBSE currently has 31,937 affiliated schools in India and abroad. This test was conducted across all CBSE schools. This year, more than 2000 schools from the Delhi East Region, including over 250 foreign schools, participated in the Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge. From this vast pool of participants, only the top 100 students in each region were awarded Merit Certificates.
In this highly competitive contest, Arnav Tushar Yeola (Grade X) secured an impressive 11th position, while Kushagra Sah (Grade IX) achieved the 12th position in the CBSE Delhi East Region.
Expressing his pride, Director Mr Himanshu Verma stated, “It is a matter of immense pride that two students from Bahrain Indian School have secured 11th and 12th positions among the top 100 merit holders, placing them in the Top 15 out of participants from over 2000 + schools in the Delhi East Region.” He also acknowledged the vital role played by the teachers, adding, “This achievement reflects the students’ strong mathematical aptitude and the culture of encouragement, dedication, and high expectations fostered by the school.”
The Director, Ms Ritu Verma, also expressed her immense pride in the accomplishments of Arnav and Kushagra. “This remarkable achievement brings great honour not only to Bahrain Indian School but also to the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Ms Ritu Verma.
Principal Mr. Saji Jacob commended the students for their perseverance and dedication, and appreciated the Mathematics faculty for their continuous mentoring, commitment, and invaluable guidance in nurturing academic excellence.
