Kia EV3 and Sportage Win Big at 2025 What Car? Electric Car Awards

Kia has celebrated major success at the 2025 What Car? Electric Car Awards, with the Kia EV3 and Kia Sportage each taking home top honors in their categories.

The Kia EV3 was named Best Electric Small SUV, while the Sportage won Best Used Hybrid Family SUV. These wins follow earlier recognition this year at the 2025 What Car? Awards, where the EV3 was named Best Small Electric SUV and the Sportage Best Family SUV.

Kia EV3 – Best Electric Small SUV

The EV3 has become Kia’s fastest-selling electric vehicle ever and the UK’s best-selling electric car in 2025. What Car? praised its comfortable ride, quiet cabin, higher driving position, and impressive electric range.

The EV3 is also the UK Car of the Year and World Car of the Year in 2025, following the EV9, which won both awards in 2024.

Kia Sportage – Best Used Hybrid Family SUV

The Sportage continues to be Kia’s best-selling model worldwide and remains one of the UK’s top family SUVs. The fifth-generation model, introduced in 2021, brought hybrid and plug-in hybrid options to the line-up for the first time.

Huntingford added: “The Sportage PHEV offers a comfortable ride, spacious interior, and an electric range of 43 miles (WLTP). Used models are also still covered by the manufacturer warranty, which adds to its appeal.”

In 2025, the Sportage received a mid-life upgrade, featuring updated design and new technologies inspired by Kia’s latest electric models, including the EV3, EV6, and EV9.

With a growing electric and hybrid line-up and continuous industry recognition, Kia is strengthening its position as a leading player in the automotive market.
