HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs has expressed utmost happiness at the exceptional results achieved by Bahrain Endurance 13 team at Sub 7 Sub 8 Initiative which was organised to decide the best of the top four athletes in the triathlon sport.

The event took place in Germany. HH Shaikh Nasser stated that the victory confirms the team’s successful journey in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

HH Shaikh Nasser underlined that the result reflects the team’s keenness to honour the Kingdom of Bahrain in their participation abroad and its members’ desire to produce maximum efforts to accomplish positive outcomes that confirm the high position of Bahrain’s triathlon sport.

“There are many objectives that have been achieved through participating in the Championship, in addition to continuing promoting Bahrain’s prosperous journey internationally as this will contribute to meeting the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030 and makes sport as a key tool to bring attention to the Kingdom,” HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad said.

“Bahrain Endurance 13 team is proving its capabilities, and I take this opportunity to praise this positive participation which sheds light on the Kingdom of Bahrain’s sports,” HH Shaikh Nasser added.

Furthermore, HH Shaikh Nasser congratulated the team members on the victory and the great results, namely Kristian Blummenfelt and Joe Skipper who competed in the men’s category and Katrina Mathews and Nicola Sprink who contested in the women’s section.

It’s worth noting that Kristian Blummenfelt has broken the world record in the event which was under his name too, after posting a time of 6 hours, 44 minutes and 25 seconds, compared to the 7 hours, 21 minutes and 12 seconds which he clocked at the Ironman Cozumel in 2021.
