Bahrain Riders shine in Race

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa,Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion of the regional achievement accomplished by Bahrain Royal Endurance Team members in HH the President of UAE 160km Endurance Championship.

Bahraini riders Raed Mahmood and Mohammed Helal Al Khatiry came the fourth and fifth places respectively (6 hours 43 minutes) among more than 190 local, regional and international riders.

Emirati rider Shaikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Mahtoum (six hours 4 minutes 54 seconds) won first place with a speed of 26 km/ph with second and third places going to female rider Madho Sinka (6:06.01) and Hamad Al Kaabi (6:24:16) with the same speed.

Shaikh Nasser who attended the five-stage race noted the remarkable performance of the Bahraini riders adding that the slight difference of one second between themselves reflected the strong competition witnessed in the race.

The Instructor of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa congratulated the leadership and Shaikh Nasser in winning fourth and fifth places.
