King’s Cup Semi-Finals Set for April

The semi-finals of the 49th His Majesty the King’s Cup will take place next month, with four of Bahrain’s top sides set to battle for a place in the final at Khalifa Sports City.
In the first semi-final, holders Al Khaldiya will face Riffa on Friday, April 10, with kick-off scheduled for 5:20pm. Al Khaldiya secured their place with a 2–0 win over A’ali, extending their strong run under coach Lassad Al Chabbi. Riffa, meanwhile, advanced in convincing fashion, defeating Bahrain Club 4–1 to underline their credentials.
Attention then shifts to Saturday, April 11, when Muharraq take on Al Ahli at 5:20pm. Muharraq booked their spot with a 3–0 victory over Al Shabab, producing a dominant second-half display. Al Ahli, by contrast, were pushed all the way, eventually overcoming Al Ettifaq 4–1 on penalties after a 2–2 draw.
With all four teams arriving through different paths but in strong form, the semi-finals promise two closely contested encounters as each side looks to move one step closer to the title.
