Bahrain’s senior men’s national team takes the field today at 2 PM at the Bahrain National Stadium for a friendly against Somalia, serving as their final outing ahead of the Fifa Arab Cup 2025 qualifying clash against Djibouti later this month in Qatar.

After a week of preparation at the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) pitches in Riffa, the squad is ready to test their combinations and assess form in a competitive setting. Head coach Dragan Talajic has called up a 27-man roster that includes Waleed Al Hayyam, Amine Benaddi, Abdulla Al Khalasi, Mohammed Jassim Marhoon, Mahdi Humaidan, Ali Madan, Sayed Dhiya Saeed, Komail Al Aswad, Mahdi Abduljabbar, Hussain Al Eker, Ahmed Bughammar, Vincent Emmanuel, Sayed Mahdi Sharaf, Sayed Al Mosawi, Hazza Ali, Mohammed Adel, Sayed Redha Isa, Jassim Al Shaikh, Omar Saber, Hussain Abdulkarim, Sayed Hashem Issa, Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Ebrahim Al Khattal, Abdulla Al Hashash, and goalkeepers Ebrahim Luthfallah, Mohammed Algharabli, and Omar Salem.

The friendly offers a chance for Bahrain to build cohesion and sharpen match readiness ahead of their decisive qualifier against Djibouti on November 26 at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Doha. A victory there would secure the Kingdom’s place in the Arab Cup group stage alongside defending champions Algeria, Iraq, and either Lebanon or Sudan.
