The Asian Youth Games in Bahrain continued to exhibit the continent’s emerging martial arts talent, with Muay events delivering intense action across Exhibition World Hall C, D, and E.
In the girls’ -54kg Combat Discipline (16-17) semifinals, Bahrain’s Tanishi Bhowmick faced off against Thailand’s Pimlapat Roikaew in a closely contested bout. Bhowmick fell just short, 8-10, but clinched the bronze medal, giving the host nation a proud podium moment. Her sharp counters under pressure highlighted Bahrain’s growing martial arts presence at the Games, while Roikaew advanced to take gold. Uzbekistan’s Jasmina Achilova and China’s Zhu Liye also secured bronze, demonstrating the depth of competition across Asia.
