Royal Support Strengthens Bahrain’s Readiness for Asian Youth Games

Bahrain is set to host the Third Asian Youth Games from October 22 to 31, 2025, under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. With just 24 days remaining until the opening ceremony, preparations are in full swing.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the Games and Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, emphasized that the royal support highlights the Kingdom’s strong commitment to sports. He said this backing motivates everyone involved to deliver an exceptional event under the supervision of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

Shaikh Isa expressed confidence in Bahraini young athletes, praising their dedication and training. “Our youth represent the future of Bahraini sports. We expect them to perform at their best, showcasing the fighting spirit and determination of our athletes, and to proudly raise the Bahraini flag on the podiums,” he said.

He also highlighted Bahrain’s proven ability to host international sporting events, noting that the Kingdom has the infrastructure and expertise to provide a seamless experience for athletes and delegations from across Asia.

The Asian Youth Games are seen as a stepping stone for young athletes, preparing them for larger competitions like the Olympics and the Asian Games. Shaikh Isa affirmed that Bahrain, in collaboration with the Olympic Council of Asia, aims to achieve an unprecedented level of organizational and competitive success in this edition of the Games.
