Asmaa Lafflair and Noor Taha shine as Kingdom’s medal tally climbs to seven

Bahrain’s national swimming team continued their strong showing at the 4th Arab Age Group Aquatics Championships, adding two more silver medals on the second day of action in Morocco.

Asmaa Lafflair claimed silver in the women’s 100m freestyle (19 years and above) with a time of 1:00.11 minutes, while teammate Noor Taha followed suit shortly after, taking second place in the 50m backstroke (19 years and above), clocking 31.80 seconds.

With these latest results, the Kingdom’s tally at the halfway stage of the meet now stands at seven medals (six silvers and one bronze). Bahrain had launched their campaign in style on the opening day, securing four silvers and a bronze.

The nationals are determined to carry this momentum forward as the competition continues until September 1, with hopes of expanding their medal haul in what has already been a fruitful campaign.

The championship, hosted in Casablanca, brings together top age-group swimmers from across the Arab world, highlighting regional talent and offering young athletes valuable international exposure.
