AMAIUB tops the WRO local round

AMA International University - Bahrain (AMAIUB) team bagged the first place in the local round of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) on March 10, 2019 at the Bahrain Exhibition Centre. During the awarding ceremony, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, presented the medals to the AMAIUB engineering students, namely Ahmed Amuzel, Fizzan Mustafa and Hasan Ebrahim.

They were coached by Dr. Zeyad Ismail, a faculty member with esteemed engineering expertise. With this year’s WRO theme, SMART Cities, AMAIUB maintains its responsiveness to new concepts, new ideas and new technologies that help in building the cities of the future, thus sustaining development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Consequently, the AMAIUB engineering students will represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in the upcoming December 2019 WRO International Final Round at Gyor, Hungary in Europe.
