Manama: Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone could arrive as early as September 2026, featuring a crease-free folding display. If true, the iPhone Fold would mark Apple’s first foldable device and could become its most expensive iPhone yet, with prices projected between 678 BD and 904 BD. Analysts say the premium may be justified if Apple finally eliminates the visible crease that has challenged other manufacturers.
Creating a crease-free display has required advanced engineering, including collaborations with suppliers like NewRixing, Amphenol, and Samsung Display, high-strength liquid metal hinges and custom OLED panels. Rising material costs and complex components contribute to the price, but if Apple succeeds, the iPhone Fold could set a new benchmark for premium smartphones.
