BisB receives ‘Best ESG and Sustainability Practices in Bahrain’ award

Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), the leading provider of innovative Islamic financial solutions for simplifying money matters in the Kingdom of Bahrai, has been awarded the “Best ESG and Sustainability Practices in Bahrain” accolade by World Business Outlook, recognising the Bank’s exceptional efforts in championing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles through its impactful “Jood” Volunteering Team initiatives throughout 2025.

This milestone underscores BisB’s commitment to integrating ESG into its core business strategy, grounded in Islamic finance values and aligned with the Kingdom’s national development goals. The Bank continues to adopt a forward-looking approach that balances innovation, governance, and community impact to build a future-ready and inclusive financial ecosystem.

Central to this recognition is the role of the Jood Volunteering Team, whose diverse and far-reaching initiatives have significantly advanced BisB’s sustainability impact. On the environmental front, Jood has led a number of initiatives including coastal clean-ups, tree-planting drives, and awareness campaigns aimed at promoting environmental stewardship. Socially, the team has spearheaded numerous programmes benefiting underprivileged families, people of determination, children, youth, the elderly, and women.
