Huawei showcases safe city concept

The concepts of ‘Safe city’ and ‘Smart city’ solutions from Huawei was the centre of attention at a technology exhibition yesterday.

The stall of the global information and communications technology solutions provider showcased its public safety solutions at BITEX exhibition held at Gulf Hotel, Gulf Convention Centre. The Chinese company is currently connecting with top government and business authorities to examine how new ICT innovations are set to improve both the effectiveness and efficiency of public safety systems.

A delegation of regional Huawei experts were at the exhibition informing the public about the concepts. When asked, Huawei representatives at the exhibition declined to comment on the outcomes of their interaction with the Bahrain government, citing that updates will be released by Huawei headquarters.

According to Huawei, integrating secure and fast connectivity into large-scale organizations in Bahrain will enable seamless communication for optimising business services, reducing the environmental impact of local industry, and assisting public officials in making real-time decisions.
