Zain Bahrain Partners with ARKEDU to Promote E-Waste Awareness Among Students
Zain Bahrain, the Kingdom’s leading telecom and technology provider, has teamed up with Abdul Rahman Kanoo Education Group (ARKEDU) to launch an e-waste awareness initiative on campus, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
As part of the initiative, Zain Bahrain has installed an e-waste collection box at the school, encouraging students and staff to dispose of their electronic waste safely and responsibly. The company will oversee the proper collection and recycling of all e-waste gathered through the program.
The partnership also includes student-focused activities and educational sessions that highlight the impact of electronic waste and the importance of protecting the environment through everyday actions.
This program forms part of Zain Bahrain’s ongoing sustainability efforts, which extend from internal employee recycling drives to school competitions that raise awareness about e-waste. The company continues to foster responsible environmental practices while promoting community engagement.
Fatima Haider, Senior Manager of Corporate Sustainability, Inclusivity, and Culture at Zain Bahrain, said:
"Zain Bahrain is committed to raising awareness on environmental issues and encouraging positive behavior change in our community. We believe it is our responsibility to engage youth through education and partnerships, providing support that inspires long-term responsibility toward the environment."
