Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), the leading provider of innovative Islamic financial solutions for simplifying money matters in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has signed a cooperation agreement with Kaaf Humanitarian, a subsidiary of Al Eslah Society, to execute and support a series of community-focused and humanitarian projects across Bahrain.

This collaboration stems from the shared commitment of the two institutions to serving various segments of society, particularly vulnerable families, and empowering them econom- ically. Under the agreement, BisB will support a number of humanitarian initiatives and community projects of Kaaf, while also offering access to tailored financing solutions and employee volunteer participation though its Jood volunteering team.

The partnership will further support the implementation of initiatives that improve the quality of life for low-income families and empower productive households to achieve greater financial independence. It also outlines a joint approach to awareness and media campaigns that highlight the outcomes of their shared efforts, promoting a culture of community service and collective responsibility.

Ms. Fatema AlAlawi, Chief Executive Officer of BisB, stated, “This initiative reflects our fundamental belief in the role of Islamic banking as a catalyst for positive societal impact. We are proud to join hands with Kaaf Humanitarian and contribute our resources, share our expertise, and help advance social welfare within our communities.”

Dr. Abdulatif Ahmed Al Shaikh, Chairman of the Board of Al Eslah Society, added, “Our work has always centred around institutional humanitarian efforts that can transform lives and uplift society. Partnering with a values-driven financial institution such as BisB enables us to scale our impact and explore innovative mechanisms for sustainable charitable work.”

BisB’s agreement with Kaaf Humanitarian underscores the Bank’s broader vision to expand cooperation with non-profit organisations and reaffirms its proactive role in progressing Bahrain’s sustainable development agenda. It also highlights the importance of concerted efforts between the financial services and civil society sectors in building a more resilient social ecosystem for all.
