Tehran, Iran – Iran announced on Wednesday that while International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors have returned to the country, this does not yet signal full cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told state television that a final agreement on the framework for cooperation has not been approved, and discussions are still ongoing.
“No final text has yet been approved on the new cooperation framework with the IAEA, and views are being exchanged,” Araghchi said.
The move comes amid continued international attention on Iran’s nuclear activities, with both sides working to finalize the details of their renewed engagement.
